Brighton has just added another gem to its sparkling seafront! The brand-new Maldron Hotel has officially opened its doors, bringing a touch of luxury and modernity to the city's coastline. Nestled on the site of the former exhibition space behind the Metropole Hotel, this upmarket establishment boasts 226 rooms and a plethora of amenities designed to make every stay memorable.

The grand opening, which took place last Wednesday, saw the ribbon being cut by the hotel's general manager, John Devine, and was attended by 65 enthusiastic staff members ready to welcome the first guests. The Maldron Hotel is part of the Dalata Group, which is celebrating the addition of its 56th hotel to its ever-growing portfolio.

Guests at the Maldron Hotel can look forward to enjoying a well-equipped bar, a chic restaurant, a state-of-the-art gym, and versatile meeting rooms. The hotel has also retained some of the Grade II listed facades from the old building, blending historical charm with contemporary comfort.

General Manager John Devine expressed his excitement about the new venture: "With a dedicated meeting and events floor encompassing five meeting rooms, and with the hotel being located just 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport, we are an excellent choice for business and corporate guests. Brighton has always been a magnet for visitors seeking fun and fresh sea air, and the new Maldron Hotel has all of the city’s best attractions right on its doorstep. We are thrilled with our new hotel and are confident our guests will love it too."

Construction on the site began at the end of 2022, with a crane marking the start of this ambitious project. Dalata CEO Dermot Crowley also shared his enthusiasm: "We are excited to open our first Dalata hotel in the city. As a prime tourist destination with a vibrant cultural scene that attracts millions of visitors annually, Brighton is an ideal location for Dalata. The city is also experiencing growing business demand and is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading conference centre, supported by its close proximity to London. I want to express my gratitude to our local team for their hard work behind the scenes in preparing the hotel to welcome guests for the summer months."

With its prime location and top-notch facilities, the new Maldron Hotel is set to become a favourite among both tourists and business travellers. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a convenient base for your corporate needs, this new addition to Brighton’s hospitality scene promises to deliver an exceptional experience.
