Ah, the sweet symphony of September in Hove! If you’re yearning for a week of relaxation and rejuvenation, look no further than The Old Market’s inaugural ‘Feel Good’ festival. Running from 2nd to 8th September 2026, this event promises a delightful array of immersive and holistic experiences designed to soothe the soul and calm the mind.
The festival kicks off with the Hiraeth Folk Club on 2nd September, where the melodies of English, Irish, and Scottish folk music will bid farewell to summer in the most enchanting way. As the week unfolds, you’ll be treated to a meditative musical journey with FACESOUL, a 360-degree sensory experience with INDIGAURA, and an evening dedicated to mental health awareness with LIGHTWORKS by eott.
For those who crave a deeper connection with sound, Flux offers an immersive deep listening experience on 6th September. Lie back and let the blend of live music, sound design, and visual art wash over you. The following day, drift through Sussex landscapes with Julian Deane’s ambient film and live music performance, The Plough.
The festival concludes with ANATOM on 8th September, a mesmerising fusion of film montages and live string quartet performances by the Modulus Quartet. Throughout the week, indulge in 20-minute Sound Baths, where you can relax on beanbags and be transported to vivid natural environments through surround sound and stunning visuals.
Helen Jewell, Creative Director at The Old Market, beautifully encapsulates the essence of the festival: “Feel Good is about what happens when we slow down and really listen – together.” So, why not take a moment to unwind and connect with your community? And if you’re considering a more permanent stay in this vibrant locale, we at Sawyer & Co are here to help you find the perfect home. Grab your tickets and prepare for a week of blissful experiences!
