Brighton Marina has proudly announced its sponsorship of The Story Trail, an enchanting new public art installation set to launch in Brighton this autumn. Organised by the local charity Amaze, in collaboration with Wild in Art, this delightful initiative will turn the streets, parks, and open spaces of Brighton & Hove into a vibrant interactive storybook.

The free, family-friendly trail will feature over 30 giant BookBenches, each telling a unique chapter of the city’s story. Local schools and community groups will also contribute smaller benches, adding their own creative flair. Throughout the summer, Brighton Marina serves as the official creative hub, where all 67 BookBenches are being beautifully decorated by local artists and community groups.

The Story Trail will officially launch on 12th September, inviting guests to explore and discover all the benches using The Story Trail app. This innovative app will allow users to make donations, access exclusive discounts, and participate in fundraising events. The trail will run until November, culminating in an auction of the benches to raise vital funds for Amaze.

In addition to providing workshop space, Brighton Marina will host its own uniquely decorated BookBench. The mermaid-themed “Magic Tails of the Sea” sculpture, featuring a giant seashell and a mermaid cleaning up the ocean, offers an inspiring message against the scenic waterfront setting.

Amaze is a trusted charity providing invaluable support to families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Sussex. The charity offers expert guidance, practical support, and a vital community for families experiencing similar challenges.
