Born in Brighton, Chris began his career in 1988 at a small local independent agent. From there he moved on to a large chain of estate agents where he quickly progressed to senior management level.
In 1996 Chris co-launched Tingleys Estate Agents which became one of the city's most respected independent companies and in 2009, following his acquisition of the business, Sawyer & Co was launched.
During 2016 Chris was the President of the Brighton & Hove Estate Agents Association (BHEAA) a role in which he was able to show his commitment to improving and maintaining the highest standards possible within the profession. The role enabled him to continue his longstanding support of numerous local charities and organisations, helping them to raise vital funds and awareness of their work. Chris is also a member of the National Advisory Council of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents.
An avid Brighton & Hove Albion supporter, Chris lives in Brighton and is married with 2 daughters.
Adam Farrell Dip Surv Pract, FNAEA, MARLA
Adam grew up in Hove and has enjoyed a career in property sales and lettings since the late 1990's. Developing a well-rounded experience in both independent and corporate estate agency, Adam has progressed from Negotiator to Branch Manager and is now a Company Director.
Having passed the highest level exams, Adam holds a Fellow grade of membership at the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA). He has also achieved a Diploma in Surveying Practice at the College of Estate Management and is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) after passing their Technical Award exams.
Adam joined the Portslade office at the beginning of 2006 when the company was known as Tingleys Estate Agents. In 2014 he helped launch the Sawyer & Co Brighton office and with his hands on approach to management he continues to build on the company’s success.
Adam is married with three children and now lives in Steyning, whilst also being addicted to hang gliding!
Dominique Scott MNAEA
After a successful career in the music industry, Dominique moved to live in Hove from London in 2005 with her husband and 2 children. She joined the company that same year and has been an integral part of our team ever since. She has a natural flair for selling or letting properties. The enjoyment that she takes in her job as well as her passion for property is very evident for our clients to see. Dominique is also a keen tennis player.
Kerry-Anne Holland MARLA
Senior Lettings Specialist
A shortlisted finalist for The Times Best Letting Agent of the Year 2016, Kerry-Anne joined Sawyer & Co in 2011 and has over 14 years' experience in estate agency.
After spending her early career working for a large corporate company in the Berkshire area, she took time off to travel Australia and Europe. On her return to the UK Kerry-Anne settled in Hove and was instrumental in the success of another independent estate agent in Hove for whom she worked for nine years.
Kerry-Anne's success at The Times Awards 2016 is due to her great enthusiasm for her job and her impressive pro-active and hard-working approach to everything she does.
Emma Marcantonio MARLA
Property and Accounts Manager
A true Brightonian, Emma joined the Sawyer & Co Lettings Department in February 2016 and has quickly become a valuable member of the team. As someone who loves to keep fit, Emma is an avid kickboxer and having started training in 2013 with SAMA she is rapidly progressing through the different coloured belt grading. Having lived in Brighton her whole life, Emma hopes to travel the world one day, but until then she brings her love of properties and extensive local knowledge to her role as a property manager.
Land & Development Manager
After studying Sociology at Bath University, where he also ran a successful club promotions company, Matt returned to his hometown of Brighton. Having been introduced to the world of property at an early age it’s no surprise that Matt has risen swiftly through the ranks to become one of our Senior Negotiators and our Land and New Homes Specialist. A committed Seagulls supporter, when he’s not supporting the Albion Matt is now a family man who enjoys walking the dog on the seafront and practising his culinary skills.
Residential Lettings Manager
As part of a major restructuring of the lettings department, Joe Newman has been brought in to lead the team into a new era of success. With his proven lettings experience due to having managed another local company for many years, Joe's leadership style fits perfectly with the Sawyer & Co. approach to business in general and to rentals in particular.
A firm commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is only part of Joe's outlook, as he will also be overseeing the introduction of new and innovative systems that will make sure the firm stays one step ahead of the competition.
Katie Price MARLA

Having worked in the property sector since 2014 our new Property Manager, Katie, brings a wealth of knowledge to our Letttings team.
Whilst studying Costume Design and Making at Nottingham Trent University, Katie kept fit by playing rugby so it's no surprise that she's a Nottingham Tigers fan and is a bit of a gym-bunny.
Well-travelled, our PM spent three years living in Boston, MA, volunteered in an Argentinian Equine Therapy centre and studied in Hong Kong, as well as notching up passport stamps for Thailand, Singapore, Morocco and Canada.
Now firmly established as a Brighton & Hove resident, Katie loves being by the seaside and frequenting the city's quirky pubs with her friends or relaxing on the beach.
Aaron has lived in Brighton for over six years and enjoys the diversity and the bohemian seaside lifestyle. Having travelled far and wide in a six month trip that took in Greece, Barbados, Singapore, Prague, Cuba and the USA, he loves Bali and has also been to Wales! A semi-pro at Netflixing, in his spare time Aaron likes taking a restorative stroll through Hove and going for a nice meal at either the Coal Shed or Cote. Another BHAFC supporter, when he’s not cheering them on Aaron likes to spend time with his family and keeping himself in shape.
Josh is born and bred in Brighton and joins us with over 8 years of independent agency experience. Having worked in the industry since he left school, he has now taken a change of route and is the manager of our new marketing hub in Kemp Town.
Not only a keen traveler, Josh also has a strong interest in Men's fashion and has previously been invited to a runway show at Milan fashion week! When he's not abroad, you can find him frequenting various coffee shops and pizza restaurants with his girlfriend or watching his beloved Liverpool FC with friends.
No stranger to property, Ellie comes with a wealth of experience in the industry following her studies at Hove Park School where she passed Business, Law, Psychology and Maths. A star of CBBC’s Stakeout as a child, nowadays when she’s not touring the likes of Rome, Venice, Milan, Monaco, Nice, Cannes or Amsterdam you can find her going on country walks, watching the sunset on the beach or hitting the gym. A true foodie, Ellie enjoys immersing herself in the varied food culture in and around Brighton and loves spending time with her friends and family.

Bob was born and raised in Brighton. His early career developed in the FMCG world working for Blue Chip organisations. Before commencing his long and successful career in the sports industry. Having worked for Adidas, Nike and O’Neill his career spanned 25 years rising to the position of Managing Director. In 2003 a career change beckoned and Bob took on an estate agency franchise setting up Bairstow Eves’s first office in Brighton. Following the sale of that business he spent the next few years in property development alongside creating a property search agency for London buyers wishing to move this great City. With wealth of sales, marketing and business development experience he joined Sawyer and Co from Brighton and Hove Albion (AITC) during 2014. Bob’s interests are football, racquet-ball, surfing and snowboarding. He lives in Hove with his 14 year old daughter.

John is Brighton born and bred and joins us with a wealth of both corporate and independent agency experience. Having spent a year working in Australia and exploring most of Asia, travelling remains a big passion.
He has a keen interest in keeping fit and although Small Batch Coffee is his second home at weekends, don’t let that fool you – he likes his coffee like he likes his martial arts belts. That’s right, John is a black belt in karate.

Born and bred in Brighton, Dan joins us with a wealth of experience in the property industry and has previously managed an office in Sussex. With client satisfaction at the forefront of his mind and being a real people person, Dan is well adverse in all aspects of the job. An avid football and golf enthusiast, when he’s not on the course or watching the big games, you can find him travelling around the globe with his girlfriend, with whom he has just brought his first home.
Sales Progressor / Negotiator
Carron has moved between Brighton and London over the years but being a self-confessed ‘mermaid at heart’ it made sense for her to be by the sea. We have been lucky to have Carron with us for ten years but she has also worked for events companies, marketing companies and with retired Olympians who became motivational speakers.
When Carron isn’t being a hybrid estate-agency mermaid she likes to travel, write, swim, explore Brighton, spend time with family and enjoy a cocktail. Anything that combines all or most of the above is a bonus.
She has also recently become an accidental actress – look out for Carron as an extra in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, a film by Mike Newell who also directed Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Joe joined us with a background in privately managing property portfolios, carrying out project renovations and finding and vetting tenants for clients. Prior to that he worked at Brighton and Hove Council in Housing and Homelessness which he found particularly rewarding.
Joe fell in love with Brighton when he studied at the University and despite living in London for a while he was drawn back by the sea and the wealth of unique events that happen year-round. 13 years later he is still very much enamoured with the city and has recently become a family man. Although a lot of his time is now spent changing nappies, he also finds times to play squash and football with friends every week and arrange group days out as well. He is also a super supporter of the Brighton Marathon and has been known to set up a sound system outside his house playing upbeat sounds to keep runners motivated!
A Superstar handyman, who’s Super-hardworking with a Super-sized ‘can do’ attitude and sense of humour to match, Jozef is our very own in-house contractor and all round handyman.
When he's not busy helping to keep repair and maintenance costs down for our properties, Jozef loves to spend time playing with his children or enjoying a relaxing hour or two fishing at the marina.
Having grown up on the wonderful island of Sicily, Irene moved to Brighton five years ago after falling in love with our vibrant city. A professional photographer for over thirteen years, Irene began her career studying in Italy and since then has worked with a host of internationally renowned photographers and has presented her own critically acclaimed photographic exhibition, Tra Passato e Presente. Irene has always lived by the sea and loves that living in Brighton and Hove means that there is always something new around the corner to discover. When she's not busy taking beautiful photos of our properties Irene loves to go up to Devil’s Dyke and watch the sun set over the city.
Professional Photographer and Marketing Assistant
A passionate creative, Katy was taught photography by her grandfather as a young teen and continued to study the subject academically where she later graduated from De Montfort University with a bachelors degree in Media Technology. She began photographing weddings and built up a business that later enabled her to obtain clients across the pond in San Francisco, she now joins us as our additional property photographer with over 10 years’ experience in the field.
Originally from Leicester, home of the foxes and tigers, Katy is a big fan of her home sports teams, she has a strong background in swimming and enjoys the occasional surfing trip to Cornwall. When she’s not riding waves, you can find her playing guitar and singing in her Brighton based band or planning her next trip abroad.
Administrator & Marketing Assisant
A native Geordie, Laura moved to Brighton two and a half years ago after her studies. A historian at heart she has not one, but TWO history degrees from Leeds Beckett University. Outside of work she enjoys reading and baking as well as taking trips back up north and spending time with family and friends at Leeds Dock.
She loves to travel and her favorite places to visit have been Potsdam and Krakow. When not baking or up north, you can usually find Laura relaxing at the beach or the Marina with friends or having days out to historical sites in Sussex!
Ceri has lived in Brighton for 20 years and loves the diversity and culture of the city. She originally studied Menswear Design but has now worked in property for 5 years.
In her spare time Ceri is a keen walker and enjoys going for hikes with her dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside of The Downs and Sussex villages and of course enjoys the wonderful seafront, making time to pop into restaurants along the way. Ceri has travelled extensively in the USA and the second city in her life is San Francisco which she says is almost as good as Brighton.
As a nod to her Celtic background, Ceri is an avid supporter of Wales and Ireland Rugby teams.
Born and bred in Brighton, Joe is taking his first steps into the property trade with Sawyer and Co whilst studying Estate Agency at Brighton MET. He loves the atmosphere of Brighton in the summer but also used to regularly travel further afield to Kenya every year with his family to do charity work.
As well as having a charitable nature, Joe is also a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo and has recently taken up Muay Thai.
Born and raised in Brighton, Kyle comes with over 2 years’ experience in a local estate agency following his studies at Dorothy Stringer. A seasoned traveller, Kyle has toured the likes of Thailand, Spain and America, recently returning from a trip to the USA. Kyle loves living by the sea, and when he’s not relaxing on the beach, you can catch him enjoying the cinematic art of horror movies alongside his girlfriend or cheering on his beloved Liverpool FC.
Alex has joined us in Brighton after spending three years in London, working in high profile security. He loves Brighton beach during the summer and relaxing with a few beverages in the sunshine. A Tottenham supporter, Alex is also a fitness fanatic and is often at the gym or out running, so think twice before you challenge him to an arm wrestle or the hundred metres. Alex also loves going on city breaks and tries to make time to cross the waters every couple of years to soak up some culture.
Born and bred in Brighton, Jake joins us after studying Business, Psychology and Philosophy at Cardinal Newman Sixth Form. Although he’s new to the property sector he comes with a wealth of enthusiasm and drive. When he’s not over at the Isle of Wight camping and being at one with nature, Jake enjoys taking on new challenges in the Swiss and French Alps on outward bound expeditions. Although he has an explorative nature, he loves the atmosphere here in Brighton as he’s an avid supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion, and frequents the beach in his spare time where you can find him enjoying a spot of football followed by a barbeque and drinks with friends and exploring the great outdoors.
Having studied Mechanical Engineering at Cardinal Newman Stu is very much a bit of a ‘challenge accepted,’ kind of guy. In 2014 Stu travelled over 30,000 miles through 30 USA States in 3 months, in 2015 he competed in the DCI World Championships and in 2017 he helped alongside other volunteers to build a primary school in Ghana.
In his spare time Stu competes in endurance karting races all over the UK and is currently in 4th place in the championship. He also plays badminton and his most recent passion is rock climbing. Stu also somehow manages to find time to support Brighton and Hove Albion and claims to sit down sometimes to enjoy some fish and chips on the beach.
A lover of challenges, Tabetha comes with ample experience in the property sector with 3 years’ experience in an estate agency based in Worthing. Relocating from Yapton, Tabetha loves the atmosphere here in Brighton where you can find her enjoying a Bankers fish and chips on the beach. Currently studying Psychology at Brighton University, Tabetha is looking forward to her next travelling adventure with Barcelona and various ski trips in France under her belt already. When she’s not honing her musical talents as a piano player, you can find Tabetha trying out new sports and working on her fitness. She recently completed an urban triathlon and walked the ultra-challenge from London to Brighton, and she's eagerly anticipating her next venture.

Born and bred in Brighton, Elliott loves the beach in the summer but has branched out further afield recently returning from a four month excursion to South East Asia. An avid Liverpool FC supporter, when he’s not at the gym or at work you can find him relaxing and taking it easy.
A self-confessed foodie, Esme joins us with a wealth of determination and drive. Following her time at Varndean College where she took Business Studies, Travel and Tourism she has since decided to embark on a journey into the world of property. A lover of Thai food, Esme loves the diverse food culture here in Brighton and the perks of having the beach on her doorstep. Well-travelled, she's toured the likes of Negril and Greece and adores the Balearic Islands. When she’s not out having brunch with friends, or enjoying a lovely Italian meal, you can find Esme out and about in London vintage shopping with her boyfriend or breaking a sweat in the gym.
A massive dog lover and summer festival advocate, Grace joins us with over two years’ experience in the lettings industry. An extremely bubbly character, Grace is always full of motivation and drive as well as being well-travelled. She enjoys a European city break or two and has spent New Year in the tropics of South East Asia. When she’s not abroad you will find Grace catching up with friends over a meal and a cocktail or taking her two dogs for a country walk over The Downs.
Taking his first steps into the property industry, Nick joins us with a wealth of enthusiasm and professionalism. Born and bred in Sussex, Nick has always been a keen traveler and recently returned after enjoying a 2 month stint in South East Asia. An avid supporter of Liverpool FC, if he’s not at the gym or at work you can find him relaxing at home with his family and three dogs.
Joining us with a wealth of motivation and enthusiasm for the property industry, Ollie provides key support to our growing lettings team. A big Arsenal supporter and football fanatic, if he’s not at the Emirates Stadium you can often find him relaxing with friends and family or overseas enjoying a city break.
