A new billboard in Brighton celebrates dyslexic entrepreneurs, inspiring future generations with creativity and innovation.
Brighton is buzzing with excitement as a striking new billboard graces Queens Road, celebrating the power of Dyslexic Thinking and aiming to inspire the next wave of dyslexic entrepreneurs. This eye-catching display is part of a nationwide initiative by Made By Dyslexia, Virgin StartUp, and Virgin Unite, highlighting the unique strengths of dyslexic entrepreneurs. It serves as a vibrant reminder that Dyslexic Thinking has been the driving force behind world-changing inventions like the car, the lightbulb, and the smartphone.
Research from Made By Dyslexia reveals that dyslexic entrepreneurs contribute over £4.6 billion to the UK GDP annually, supporting more than 60,000 jobs. With at least one in three business founders being dyslexic, it’s clear that skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and big-picture thinking are perfectly suited for entrepreneurial success.
Brighton is one of 46 locations across the UK showcasing these billboards until 7 September. To further support dyslexic business founders, Virgin StartUp is launching “Momentum,” a free business programme designed to help dyslexic entrepreneurs scale their businesses using their unique skills.
Sir Richard Branson, a renowned dyslexic entrepreneur, attributes much of his success to his Dyslexic Thinking. He sees it as a superpower that allows him to find innovative solutions to longstanding problems. Branson’s support for this campaign underscores the importance of dyslexic entrepreneurs in today’s world.
Kate Griggs, Founder of Made By Dyslexia, emphasises that entrepreneurs are the engine of the British economy. She hopes this campaign will inspire Brighton’s dyslexic thinkers to harness their unique skills and build the innovative businesses of tomorrow.
