Brighton16 and Worthing Orchestra Unite for Magic

Music lovers of Worthing and Brighton, mark your calendars for a night of enchanting melodies and harmonious collaboration! On Saturday, April 5th, at 7pm, St George’s Church in Worthing will host a spectacular performance by Brighton16 and the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra. This special event promises to be a musical feast, spotlighting Duruflé’s Requiem, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor, and Ravel’s Pavane For A Dead Princess.

Brighton16, founded in 2019 by Matt Jelf, is renowned for its mastery of 20th and 21st-century chamber choir repertoire. The ensemble, composed of Sussex’s finest choral singers, has captivated audiences with their a cappella performances and innovative collaborations. Their latest venture with the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra is a significant milestone, marking their first collaboration with a Sussex-based orchestra.

Under the baton of Dominic Grier, the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra has been flourishing, and this partnership promises to elevate the musical experience. The concert will also feature the talents of organist Edward Byrne from Magdalen College, Oxford, violin leader Abigail Dance from London, and mezzo-soprano soloist Frances Rowberry from Tunbridge Wells.

For those keen on experiencing this magical evening, tickets are available at Fienta.

As we celebrate this musical collaboration, it’s a reminder of the vibrant cultural scene in Sussex. If you’re considering making this beautiful region your home, we at Sawyer & Co are here to help you find your perfect place amidst the charm and creativity that Sussex offers.
