Brighton’s beloved Middle Street Primary School, a cornerstone of local education for nearly 200 years, is calling on the community for a special “day of action” on Saturday, 29th November at 9.30am. This cherished institution is inviting parents, supporters, and anyone with a bit of elbow grease to spare, to join in a day of teamwork and creativity.
The school, under the new interim leadership of Rachel Kershaw and Michelle May, is entering an exciting phase of renewal and growth. Both leaders bring a wealth of experience and a fervent belief in community-driven education, working closely with a dynamic interim executive board to guide Middle Street into a promising future.
This event is more than just a call for volunteers; it’s an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the place where children learn and play every day. Whether you can wield a paintbrush, hammer a nail, or simply offer a helping hand, your skills are needed. While children won’t be able to attend due to safety concerns with workmen on site, adults are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and dive in.
Local businesses are also invited to contribute by donating paint, tools, or even food to keep the hardworking volunteers fuelled. This is a fantastic chance to meet other families, engage with the community, and take pride in supporting a school that has long been a pillar of Brighton’s educational landscape.
To volunteer or make a donation, contact the school at 01273 323184 or [email protected]. Join us in this uplifting community effort and help ensure a bright future for Middle Street Primary School. And remember, at Sawyer & Co, we’re always here to support our community in any way we can!
