The front door is in a covered porch where the owners keep logs for their fire pit in the garden. The door opens onto the spacious hallway that instantly generates a fantastic sense of space.

Beautifully lit by a square bay window, the original fireplace creates an instant focal point in the large main reception room while the sultry charcoal blue colour scheme adds a rich contrast to the elegant period cornicing that wraps its way around the tall ceiling. Generously proportioned with ample space to relax as a family, newly installed shutters add contemporary finishing touches.

The warm tones of the light Karndean floor flow from the hallway into a large open plan kitchen/ dining room that is the real heart of this home. Well-appointed with under floor heating throughout, wooden cabinets and pale countertops create plenty of storage and work space in the kitchen area and offer ample room for a range of appliances. The wealth of floor space flows onto a family-sized dining area where the Cole & Son Palm Jungle wallpaper brings the garden in and complements the soft green shades of Shaker-style cabinets the perfectly placed pendants light the ideal place for a formal dining table. All the lighting is dimmable.

Wide patio doors slide open onto the highly private decked garden allowing the lovely movement of natural light to continue, and perfectly extending this sociable and versatile space still further.

A deep cupboard and additional coat cupboard offer plenty of storage in the hallway, and a discreet WC completes the ground floor.

The sense of space continues on the first floor where three bedrooms offer ideal family accommodation. Looking out over the garden from its impressively sized window, the spacious master suite offers a calm and peaceful feel. The soft grey of the Cow Parsley walls continue the stylish design theme that flows throughout this home, while tasteful fitted wardrobes create plenty of storage. Sharing the west-facing views of the bedroom, a large en suite bathroom features a classic suite complete with full size bath and overhead shower all arranged in a traditional tile setting.

Echoing the proportions of the main reception room, a square bay window with crisp white wood shutters allows natural light to tumble into a large double bedroom papered in iconic Cole & Son Woods and Stars wallpaper.

Soft lilac tones add a subtle splash of a colour to an additional single bedroom.

Brand new and well-proportioned, the family bathroom offers a refined sense of luxury with its fittings and countertop basin. Cream metro tiles encompass the modern bath with its wall- mounted crosshead taps and rain head shower, while relaxing blue Koi fish wallpaper by Harlequin adds an eye- catching finishing touch.

Creating the ideal spot to enjoy outdoor meals or sit and relax in the sun, this easy to maintain and highly private garden offers a safe enclosed space for children to play.

When we moved here seven years ago we were drawn to the proportions of the house houses built circa 1910 are built to last and this house has big thick walls and a good quality feel. We loved the large square garden which is incredibly private and gets the sun all day we love that the house is on a really quiet road with no through access, it means that the only people who drive and park here are residents and the children can play outside in the summer.

The size and width of the hallway made a huge first impression, there is space for a bike and our pram but the kitchen is our favourite room and the garden is brilliant for BBQs.

Although the house is finished to a high standard there's still plenty of potential, if you wanted to add even more value and your own personal touch you could re-do the 3rd floor and put something incredible there.

We absolutely love this house, it was our dream forever home and we'll miss so much about it.
