In More Detail

Inside

Offering an easy flowing layout, the beautiful amount of natural light that flows in from the dual aspect windows adds to the great sense of space that this peaceful home has to offer.

A gentle cream colour scheme combines with a soft wool carpet to create a warm and welcoming feel in the large living room, where deep arched chimney breast alcoves add an elegant focal point. The ample floor space easily accommodates a wealth of seating and entertaining space, while the fireplace offers the opportunity to be opened up for a real fire or wood burner. The refined wool carpets continue in the adjacent dining room where wide patio doors open onto a west-facing balcony perfectly extending this sociable and versatile space still further.

Across the hallway traditional Shaker style cabinets line the walls of the kitchen offering a wealth of storage and space for freestanding appliances, while a glazed door provides further access to the wide balcony.

The rich tones of the distressed oak hallway floor flow into the two equally well-presented bedrooms. Crisp white walls emphasise the tall ceilings and period architraves of the master bedroom and its en suite shower room, whilst engendering a relaxed and peaceful feel. Natural light from a picture perfect sash window tumbles in highlighting an additional Victorian fireplace and allowing you to enjoy the warmth and colour of the morning sun from the comfort of your own bed. Fitted wardrobes provide ample storage in the second bedroom which offers plenty of ideal dual space potential. The dining room offers the chance to become a third bedroom.

The elegant interior design scheme continues in the dual aspect family bathroom where an Italian white suite features a full size bath with overhead shower encompassed by a stylish monochrome tile setting.

Outside

A wide west-facing balcony offers an idyllic private space to enjoy outdoor meals and relax in the sunshine. Perfectly proportioned for a table and chairs, there's room for a selection of potted plants, while the recently installed awning offers shade on a hot day.

A private garage at the rear of the building offers convenient off-road parking and additional storage space.

Seller Insight

We'd been travelling down from London at weekends for over a year when we finally discovered this flat. There were only four roads that we wanted to live on and this flat ticked all the boxes. It just felt really special from the moment we walked in.

It's safe and secure with lots of light and space, and we're so lucky to have a garage in Hove. The amount of light was wonderful, every room has big windows so it flows in from the different aspect all day.

I love waking up in the morning and being able to see the sun rise from the massive sash window. In the afternoon my favourite place to spend time is in the second reception room and catching the sun from its west-facing balcony. We'll really miss sitting on the balcony having dinner and drinks watching the amazing sunsets. In the summertime the awning is definitely needed as you're in full sunshine all day long until the sun goes down.

It's lovely to have the sliding doors open all day long during the summer, it's like looking at a picture with the tall trees in the background. Being able to watch the squirrels jump from tree to tree when the leaves are out along with the spectacular mature Wisteria makes it feel like you're living in the country.

It's been a big decision to move from this flat, we're really going to miss our neighbours, they've been fantastic and they're all long-term owner residents. We'll also miss the convenience of living here, the choice of places to eat, being an Artist Open House in the Brighton Festival and being able to watch the cricket grounds firework display from our windows each year.

Local schools include The Montessori Place, St Andrew's C of E (Aided) Primary School, St Christopher's School, Brunswick Primary School and Brighton and Hove High School. BIMM is also within easy reach.

Plenty of bus services provide access to all parts of the city as well as nearby outlying villages and Hove train station is approximately only half a mile away providing regular mainline links for commuters.
