Circus Starr, the circus with a purpose came to town last week and our very own Lee Cook was there to witness at first hand the positive effects that a live circus performance can have on children. "We had a great time and the kids absolutely loved it! Really proud to have been a part of the show knowing that we sponsor it too" said Lee.
The circus came to town as part of its Raise the Roof Tour 2016 bringing world-class professional artists and performers form all around the world to Brighton.
Playing to a packed house, Circus Starr brought its brand new production Pinocchio Joins the Circus along with Emilion Delbosq the world famous clown, Mr Slinky and illusionists Scott & Mariska.
Throughout January Circus Starr will perform its unique world of circus panto to over 19,000 children and their families. Since 1987 this fantastic social enterprise has given over a million vulnerable, disabled and disadvantaged children the chance to forget their troubles for a day and lose themselves in the magic of very special shows. Every year it provides over £1.3million worth of free tickets to their shows at 75 different venues across the country.
Sawyer & Co are honoured to be sponsoring an organisation that makes such a lasting and positive impression on so many children. With an empathetic approach to their audiences the performers create a relaxed and inclusive environment designed to give all the children, including those with autism the chance to interact as much or as little as they like and the children are always welcome to take some chill-out time if they need it without the fear of feeling that they are disrupting or interrupting the show.
Bring on the clowns!
