This November, the world-renowned pianist Joep Beving is set to make his live debut at The Old Market (TOM) in Hove. Accompanied by the talented cellist Maarten Vos, this concert promises to be an unforgettable evening of music and emotion.

Joep Beving has taken the world by storm in an astoundingly short amount of time. With over 300 million streams on Spotify and more than two million monthly listeners, his minimalist and contemplative style has captivated audiences globally. Joep describes his music as "accessible music for complex emotions," seamlessly blending classical, pop, and avant-garde elements into a unique and recognisable voice.

While Joep typically performs solo, this concert will see him joining forces with Maarten Vos to perform their first collaborative album, vision of contentment, live on stage at TOM. This special collaboration is a tribute to Joep's late manager, Mark Brounen, making the performance even more poignant.

The new album follows their work on 2019’s Henosis, Beving’s third album, after the two musicians shared a bill in Amsterdam in 2018. The album is preceded by the single 02:07, which is out now. Vos describes the haunting sounds of vision of contentment as "a sonic landscape that encourages imaginative exploration." Beving, on the other hand, hopes to leave listeners with a simple sense of love, aiming for "a search for harmony and understanding."

Mark Gordon, Marketing and Comms Manager at The Old Market, shares his excitement, stating, “I have been a fan of Joep for a long time, so to be able to welcome both him and Maarten to our venue this November is a treat. Our venue has some of the best acoustics in the city, so I know this particular concert is going to be an amazing experience!”

Don’t miss this extraordinary event. Joep Beving and Maarten Vos will be performing live at The Old Market, Hove, on Saturday 9 November. Tickets are available now and cost £23. Secure your spot and prepare to be moved by this incredible musical experience.
